Scottish Property Awards: Celebrating Our Clients' Wins
Date Posted: March 4, 2024

At Benholm, we pride ourselves on not just providing exceptional plant displays but also supporting businesses that excel in their fields. Today, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on three of our clients who recently triumphed at the prestigious Scottish Property Awards.

SMALL DEVELOPMENT OF THE YEAR (PUBLIC BUILDINGS)

Winner: Beatlie School Campus Hub | South-East & West Lothian Council

The new state-of-the-art campus in Craigshill provides specialist education for those aged three to eighteen with severe and complex support and profound medical needs.

The project was delivered with West Lothian Council through Hub South East Scotland Limited, with Morrison Construction appointed as the Tier 1 contractor. This was the same team responsible for the successful delivery of the award-winning Winchburgh Campus, where we also implemented Nordik Moss panelling.

Eileen Mackin, Hub South East’s Project Director said: “Beatlie now has a state-of-the-art building, designed to be intuitive, joyful and stimulating, allowing its pupils to continue to thrive.”

The Nordik Moss wall we installed here is more than just a beautiful piece of interior décor; it’s a symbol of the school’s dedication to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.

LARGE DEVELOPMENT OF THE YEAR (COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS)

Winner: 10 Clyde Place, Buchanan Wharf | Drum Property Group

The completion of the Student Loans Company building was the final piece in the jigsaw for the Buchanan Wharf site, one of Scotland’s largest-ever development projects.

The office features an eclectic variety of plant species carefully selected for their contribution to a healthier indoor environment and a unique living wall created in collaboration with Graham + Sibbald that showcases their logo.

The biophilia installation in our Town Hall, Café, and colleague break-out area has significantly enhanced the ground floor space. Benholm carefully selected plant species to not only improve air quality but also offer privacy and natural screening. Since the installation, we’ve witnessed an immediate increase in usage, with colleagues gravitating towards the space within hours. SLC are delighted with the contract provided by Benholm.” Anne Marie McGrath, Senior Estates Project Manager, Student Loans Company

OFFICE AGENCY TEAM OF THE YEAR

Winner: Avison Young

From Manchester to Glasgow, our team has integrated refreshing greenery throughout Avison Young’s UK offices. A particular standout is the living wall we created for their Edinburgh office, which our technicians continue to maintain to this day.

Congratulations once again to our clients and all of the other winners on their well-deserved victories at the Scottish Property Awards.

These achievements motivate us to continue delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions. We look forward to the opportunity to contribute to more success stories in the future, as we continue to cultivate green spaces that enrich lives and enhance environments across the UK.

We love working with commercial interior designers to help bring their creative vision to life with plants and flowers for any space. We’re always up to date with the latest trends in plant and floral designs, and are bursting with ideas to include living and artificial plants in your design schemes that will delight and inspire your clients.
