The BCO Annual Conference 2026 heads back to Scotland for the first time since 2009, taking place across two of the country’s most influential cities — Edinburgh and Glasgow — on 17–18 June.
Branded “The Festival of Enlightenment,” this year’s conference is designed to inspire, challenge and connect delegates through a dynamic two-day programme of plenaries, tours and workshops. Bringing together leaders from across the office and workplace sector, the event promises fresh thinking, practical insight and meaningful industry dialogue.
As one of the most anticipated gatherings in the UK workplace calendar, the BCO Annual Conference provides a platform for knowledge-sharing, collaboration and forward-thinking discussion around the future of offices and commercial space.
Across two energising days, delegates will move between Edinburgh and Glasgow, experiencing a carefully curated programme that blends industry expertise with local character and heritage.
The 2026 conference is built around three core themes:
A series of office and workplace tours will showcase a diverse mix of projects — new builds, refurbishments, historic buildings, repurposed spaces and rejuvenated workplaces. The programme includes four BCO National Award winners from the past three years, offering first-hand insight into excellence in office design, sustainability and occupier experience.
Plenaries and workshops are intentionally crafted to spark debate and encourage progressive thinking. Through thought-provoking discussions and expert-led sessions, delegates will explore the evolving demands of the workplace, emerging trends, sustainability imperatives and the future possibilities shaping the sector.
Beyond the formal sessions, the conference places strong emphasis on meaningful connection. With curated networking opportunities woven throughout the programme, attendees will have space to meet, exchange ideas and build lasting professional relationships — all set against the distinctive backdrop of Scotland’s architectural and cultural landscape.
