Benholm Group Director and co-founder, Adrian Byne, will be appearing as a speaker at an upcoming Future Healthspaces webinar on Wednesday 21 May, from 1-2pm, joining an expert panel to explore the role of evidence-based biophilic design within healthcare environments.
The session, Nature by Design: Integrating Biophilia into Healing Spaces, will examine the growing body of research demonstrating how connections to nature can positively influence patient recovery, cognitive performance, and workplace wellbeing.
The speaker lineup includes Benholm Group alongside Nature Works for Health, bringing together practical experience and research-led insight into the application of biophilic design in clinical settings.
The discussion will explore how elements such as materiality, natural light, pattern, and spatial composition can support physiological and psychological restoration for both patients and healthcare staff. It will also address the operational and design challenges of embedding biophilic principles within complex healthcare environments, where clinical requirements must be balanced with meaningful connections to nature.
At Benholm Group, we believe that planting and biophilic design should be purposeful, evidence-led, and carefully tailored to the environments they serve. We’re proud to contribute to conversations that help shape healthier, more supportive spaces across the healthcare sector.
