Greening Up Glasgow: Recapping Our Debut Material Source Event
Date Posted: May 7, 2024

Last week marked a significant milestone for us as we officially launched our partnership with Material Source Glasgow, and what a memorable event it was!

As a company specialising in creating, installing, and maintaining plant displays for businesses across the UK, joining Material Source earlier this year opened up new avenues for us to showcase our expertise and collaborate with like-minded professionals in the architecture and design community.

Material Source, known for being a prestigious source of inspiration for designers and architects, provides a platform for cutting-edge brands to shine with each partner given their own ‘pod’ and opportunities to host events within the studio. And now, we proudly stand as the only company of our kind in Glasgow at Material Source.

Our event, aptly named “Greening Up Glasgow,” attracted professionals from the architecture and design industry eager to explore our offerings and engage in an evening of networking and learning. Our guests began arriving from 5:30 and were greeted with a glass of prosecco before getting the chance to explore the studio, shared with impressive brands such as Invictus, Nespresso, and Sixteen3.

At 6:00, our guests were gathered in front of our ‘pod’ for a ribbon-cutting proudly carried out by our director, Adrian Byne, who also provided an overview of our company’s connection with Glasgow and rich history spanning over 30 years.

Following Adrian’s introduction, our talented technicians Jonny, Sara, and Paul led an engaging workshop where guests had the opportunity to get their hands dirty and create their own terrariums. Guests then indulged in delicious food and drinks provided by Launch Coffee, a local enterprise which has provided more than a quarter of a million free meals to children in the city.

We’re incredibly grateful for those who attended our debut Material Source event and the overwhelming positive feedback we’ve since received. It reaffirms our belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of creating spaces that foster creativity, wellbeing, and sustainability.

Following the success of our launch night, we’re pleased to announce our next Material Source event.

‘Using plants to support biophilic design’ is an interactive lunch and learn session where we’ll explore the crucial role plants play in the wider framework of biophilic design.

There’s only ten spaces for this one – so be quick!
