Benholm exhibits at premium Interior Design event

On the 22nd and 23rd of February we partnered with the Scottish Interiors Showcase at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel and Spa. Regarded as the principal and largest show of its kind in the UK, it has become a must-visit event in the diary for hundreds of interior designers. Despite the inclement weather, over 1,200 visitors from across the UK in the Design, Hotel and Retail sectors made their way to Grangemouth to where over 150 brands showcased the latest spring collections of fabrics, lighting, furniture, and accessories.

We took the opportunity to show how effectively plants and greenery can impact interior design projects by displaying planters throughout the venue, including some feature Rhipsalis plants on the tables where coffee and lunch was served, helping to spark some interesting conversations around Biophilic design.

Emma Robertson attended both days of the event, presenting the services we offer to interior designers and answering questions about our wide range of products. Homes & Interiors Scotland were also keen to learn more about what we do at Benholm and interviewed Emma for their social media channels.

The centrepiece of our stand was a bespoke Nordik Moss wall featuring the result of an internal all-staff design competition which was won by our very own Kyleigh Fielder. Her design was conceptualized from her love of the rugged Scottish outdoors and features her colourful interpretation of Loch Goil. Its unusual look and texture grabbed the attention of and provoked several questions from visitors. They wanted to know if it was made using real plants, what maintenance it requires and the possibility of other custom designs. Keep an eye out for a blog post coming shortly which will address all of this and more.

Our complimentary Seedboms which were given away at our stand also created intrigue from visitors at the event. Filled with wild flower seeds these quirky grenade-style Seedbombs are fully biodegradable and are a fun way to bring life into any urban environment. Ever popular, these guerrilla marketing style giveaways will hopefully be featuring on social media once they start blooming later this year!

All in all, a fantastic couple of days which left us and our visitors brimming with new interior design ideas and excited to return in 2023.
