We are thrilled to announce the Nucleus Café at The University of Edinburgh was the winner in the Café Concept category at the U Dine Awards in Nottingham.
The U Dine Awards were established to celebrate and recognise excellence in the university hospitality sector.
The 2023 awards took place on June 20th at The Orchard Hotel and began with an afternoon packed with key insights and demonstrations from a panel of hospitality industry experts. Winners were then announced later in the evening at a ceremony hosted by co-presenter of Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, Simon Rimmer. In recognition of their success, awardees will be treated to an exclusive three day insight tour into the hidden gems of Barcelona and its regional produce and cuisine.
The Nucleus a new learning, teaching and social hub which is now open to all students and staff at The University of Edinburgh. The café features energising green spaces that are perfect for studying and working on group projects, or even just recharging between classes.
Plants have an incredible ability to enhance the ambiance of any space while offering numerous benefits to those who inhabit it. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, plants have been proven to reduce stress, improve air quality, and increase productivity.
We worked on this project with our friends at 442 Design – an innovative design company that transforms venues and brands across the UK and internationally.
It’s turned out to be a great place to eat, gather, meet and socialise and hopefully provides a very positive contribution to the buzzing KB community.
