East Kilbride Shopping Centre Cafe Case Study

Background

A new island Café area was designed and created within a shopping area at East Kilbride Glasgow.

Challenge

The architect required large feature Pink flowering Cherry trees to soften the surroundings and also a perimeter hedge to define the boundary of this ‘garden’

Solution

Benholm installed a 4.0m hand built artificial flowering cherry tree with real wood stems which were secured to the ground beneath the raised wooden floor. Further smaller trees were added and the perimeter hedge was created with artificial Boxwood mat foliage.

Result

The result was a beautiful relaxing oasis within the bustle of the shopping area – the perfect place to stop for a cuppa!
