OPERATIONS TEAM LEADER

Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games planting setupAs Operations Team Leader you will be responsible to provide the quality execution of every order generated by the sales team. Every installation must reflect the quality standards of the company and be completed safely, on time, and within budget. This is a very interesting and varied role as the orders generated are rarely the same and whilst most installations are in Scotland, you would need to be able to also install anywhere in the UK.

You will need to have some practical joinery skills or shop-fitting experience, able to work at height, good project management skills as well as having a practical, hands-on, solutions-focused approach and a can-do attitude. You will also need to be a creative person who takes a pride in your work, gets great satisfaction from making customers happy, and who thrives on exceeding expectations. Excellent people skills to be able to lead and motivate a small team to help you achieve high quality results will be required as well as also being able to work alone and without supervision. Good communication skills are essential to ensure clarity between, team members, suppliers, sub-contractors and customers. 

As this role includes a significant element of front-line customer facing interaction you would need to be very comfortable with our Company Culture and able to be very flexible. Some early morning or late evenings may be required, very occasional weekend work, as well as some overnight stays. We have a fleet of fully sign-written vans, so a clean, full UK driving license is essential and you must be willing to drive long distances when required. You need to live in Central Scotland and ideally be experienced / passionate about working with plants!

You will need to demonstrate a highly responsible attitude as, in this role, the buck stops with you!  Whilst you will be working within a very supportive organisation, if anything goes wrong, timescales shift, staff go off sick, etc., you will need to be willing to do the hard graft and find a way to ensure that the jobs are completed and customers kept happy. This is a full-time role. Pay will be commensurate with experience and around £30,000 - £35,000 per year. CREATIVE INSTALLER

Gyle Centre Edinburgh Green Wall Installation

Join our team of creative florists and plant display designers as a person who can fix anything anywhere! This job is very interesting and varied and involves creating the structures and framewoks for all kinds of displays so that our florists can dress them before you take them to site and install them.  Anything from entrance arches to framed moss wall panels, bespoke built-in planters to high-level trailing features, giant green walls to bespoke branded signage, etc.

As this is role includes a significant element of front-line customer facing interaction you would need to be very comfortable with our Company Culture - Be Creative, Have a Can-Do attitude, Be Caring - and able to be very flexible. Some early morning or late evenings may be required, occasional weekend work, as well as some overnight stays. INTERIOR PLANTS MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (NORTH SCOTLAND)

This role is virtually the same as the Interior Plants Maintenance Technician role detailed below.loch ness square-1

However, we need somone who is based In Tayside or Aberdeenshire to operate our maintenance services in the north of Scotland - primarily in Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness.  You would work from home and visit our Falkirk head office normally once per week.

As a member of our frontline maintenance team it is important that you are ableto reflect our Company Culture.  You will be travelling throughout Scotland maintaining interior (and exterior) live plant displays; we provide a fully sign-written van, so a clean, full UK driving license is essential.

You will be watering, feeding, cleaning, weeding and pruning live plant displays and other features such as living walls, so ideally you will have experience of indoor and/or exterior plant maintenance techniques, including working at height. A knowledge of individual plant’s requirements for optimum growth in different environments would be an advantage. 

We do not work on weekends unless there is something exceptional. This is a full time role. Pay will be commensurate with experience and around £25,000 a year.

EXTERIOR LANDSCAPER (SEASONAL)

Exterior LandscaperYou will be responsible for the care and maintenance of exterior grounds at commercial properties. This work will involve driving vans and using small scale petrol machinery for grass cutting, hedge cutting, strimming, leaf clearing etc and weed control using pesticides.

You must enjoy working outside in all weathers and take a pride in your work. If you get immense satisfaction from making customers happy and thrive on exceeding expectations, then you'll love this role within our creative organisation.

You will be required to sometimes work alone or with other team members or temporary hired workers. Health and safety of yourself and your colleagues, as well as customers and members of the public, is of upmost importance, and you will be responsible for ensuring correct PPE is worn and equipment used correctly and safely.

Most work is in Central Scotland (mostly Glasgow and Edinburgh city centres) and there will be occasional requirements to work further afield. We do not work on weekends unless there is something exceptional. Pay will be commensurate with experience and around £20,000 to £25,000 a year (based on a full time role).
