Founded in 1993 and rooted in generations of horticultural knowledge, we’ve grown into one of the UK’s leading specialists in commercial planting and floral design. Cundall, Newcastle
Cundall’s move into Bank House marks one of the most significant moments in the firm’s fifty year history. The tenth floor of this new landmark building is now home to their global headquarters, a space that reimagines what a modern workplace can be. The firm helped design the Pilgrim Quarter redevelopment and has finally created a home within it, a full circle moment after decades working in the region.
From the earliest conversations, sustainability and wellbeing were not vague ambitions. They were required outcomes. Cundall wanted a workplace that would set a standard for future global offices. Biophilic design became one of the core pillars of that ambition and Benholm was chosen to deliver the planting approach that would make these goals real, visible and effective for everyday use.
Heineken, Edinburgh & London
HEINEKEN UK set out to create two new UK workplaces that reflected the character of their global brand while supporting a more connected, inclusive way of working. Their goal was to design spaces that celebrated their Amsterdam roots and strengthened collaboration and wellbeing for their teams.
Working in partnership with Claremont as the Principal Contractor and design partner, Benholm Group were appointed to deliver planting across both the London and Edinburgh offices. The two projects were developed in tandem to ensure a consistent look and feel, with planting playing a vital role in softening the bold, brand-led interiors and enhancing the overall atmosphere of each space.
Wipro, London
Wipro set out to create workplaces that combine hospitality-inspired comfort with the functionality of a modern office, ensuring a consistent experience across its UK and European locations. The approach responds to the growing need for enhanced client engagement and a unified culture for employees, wherever they work.
Benholm Group was commissioned to design and install a planting scheme that would complement this vision. Our role was to ensure greenery was not an afterthought, but a central design element that softened architectural lines, enriched collaborative zones, and introduced a sense of calm throughout the space.
Royal London, Edinburgh
The architects sought our commercial planting expertise and knowledge of diverse species to add to their organic modern aesthetic. The brief was simple. To create a modern and dynamic office interior while enhancing employee wellbeing through the considered integration of biophilic design. Particular focus was placed on key touchpoints within the workplace, including the entrance and communal areas where people meet, work and take breaks.
While the space was significantly low-lit, the brief was to transform it into a warm, welcoming and engaging environment, while better reflecting Royal London’s evolving brand identity and people-first ethos.

How long does it take to install a project?
This all depends on the planting specification and complexity of the installation. Most installation are carried out within 4 or 5 weeks from order but sometimes it can be quicker if it includes items we have in stock. However, our administration team will keep in touch with you so that you know where everything is up to and when to expect our team on site. If you have a specific deadline for an opening etc. we will always do everything we can to meet your timescales.
How does the design process work with Benholm Group?
Our dedicated team are here to create innovative, planting solutions that push the boundaries of planting design and offer you the wow-factor for your space. We are happy to work directly with you or with your chosen design team, architect or facilities manager. We recommend bringing Benholm into the process as early as possible – we can offer free CPD training to enhance understanding of designing with plants, plus we can recommend the best installation solutions to keep plants healthy and vibrant.
I'm interested in artifical plants and flowers. Do Benholm provide these?
Absolutely. We often recommend artificial planting for high-traffic areas or where access for providing the right care for living plants may be limited. Our team have a vast amount of experience in specifying and installing artificial plant and flower solutions and can work with you to find the right options for your venue.
Do office plants really improve air quality and wellbeing?
Yes, and we have the studies to back it up! Office plants can reduce stress, increase focus, and boost productivity. They also help filter airborne pollutants and balance humidity levels, creating a calmer, cleaner, and more inviting workplace for everyone.
My company is based in London. Do Benholm work with companies outside Scotland?
Yes! Our experienced team have designed, installed and now maintain planting solutions for many different organisations throughout the UK. Benholm Group can work with you no matter your location to design the very best planting.

Simply because every project we undertake is bespoke to you. Our prices depend on the type of planting, whether you require containers or a specially designed installation method or ongoing servicing and maintenance of your plants. Our design consultants can work with you to create the best planting solution for you and work within your budget.
We are a small business interested in outdoor plants. Does Benholm only work with large companies?
No. Benholm are experienced in all areas of planting and fresh flowers – from providing a subscription service for weekly reception flowers to large installations for the entire interior and exterior of a space. No job is too big or too small and we cater to all budgets.
Can office planting be designed around low-light spaces?
Absolutely. Many of our most popular plants are ideal for shaded or interior areas. Our designers select species that thrive in the available light or use integrated lighting solutions to ensure healthy growth. Whether your office is flooded with sunlight or mostly artificial light, we’ll find a planting scheme that flourishes.
